Prior to enrolling in this course, you should take LIIT’s Project Management for IT/IS Professional and Mastering Project Management courses. You should also have some work experience in the area of project management and be familiar with general project-management terms and concepts.
Audience
This course is designed for experienced project managers who want to increase their project management skills, apply a standards-based approach to project management, and prepare for Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMIᆴ) Project Management Professional (PMPᆴ) Certification.
Prerequisites
To apply for the PMP®, you need to have either:
A four-year degree (bachelor’s or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
OR
A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
