Computer Network Specialist







This Computer Networking Specialist program provides students the opportunity to become proficient in Windows, Linux and Cisco-based networking. Students study administration, support and maintenance of local area networks both through using Microsoft Windows, Linux and Cisco networking systems and software. This program prepares students for career opportunities in the computer-networking field as a network specialist, System administrator/analyst, and engineer and support specialist.

Following 12-14 (10 Core and 2-3 Electives) Courses Required for Graduation:

Prerequisites: Introduction to Micro Computes (Optional)

  • PC Hardware & Operating Systems (A+)

  • Network Essentials (Network+)

  • Windows 10

  • Managing Modern Desktops

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

  • MicrosoftAzureAdministration

  • Linux Fundamentals (Linux+) and Linux Administration (Linux+)

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Part 1

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Part 2

  • IT Security Essentials (CompTIA Security+)


Electives (2-3 Courses Required):

  • Cloud Essentials (CompTIA+) or AWS Cloud Practitioner

  • Cybersec First Responder (CFR)

  • Microsoft 365 Security Administration

  • Microsoft 365 Messaging

  • Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals

  • Project Management (CAPM/PMP)

  • AWS: Solutions Architect

  • Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies
    (ENCOR)

  • Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (ENARSI)
