Description Of The Program: Bioinformatics is the application of information technology to the management and analysis of biological data. This program is designed to prepare student to effectively use the tools and methods of bioinformatics to enhance their work. The program curriculum was created to provide scientists and technicians with the ability to analyze and interpret the increasing deluge of biological data generated through the use of new technologies. Courses include: Intro Core Required - Introduction to Bioinformatics, Bioinformatics Algorithms and Techniques, Molecular Biology, Genetics Statistics, Advanced Bioinformatics and electives courses (Two Required from follow list)- Introduction Linux Server, Legal and Business Issues in Informatics, Data Mining for Security, and Java for Bioinformatics.
